Mona Choi 교수의 연구실은 만성질환 관리, 정신건강 평가, 환자 중심의 간병 및 퇴행성 질환 회복 과정을 중심으로 한 모바일 헬스(M-health) 및 실시간 심리적 상태 측정 기법을 활용한 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 전자식별 측정(EMA)을 통한 스트레스와 기분 평가, 노인 대상의 디지털 사회적 지지 프로그램 개발, 암 환자의 신체적·정서적 회복에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 등 실질적인 간병 실천에 기여할 수 있는 연구를 지속적으로 진행하고 있습니다. 또한 환경 건강 평가 및 종양 간병 교육 프로그램 개발을 통해 간병사의 전문성 강화에도 기여하고 있습니다.
