Nan Hee Kim 교수의 연구실은 노화, 대사질환 및 생체리듬과 관련된 만성질환의 기전을 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 생체리듬 이상(예: 저녁형 생체리듬)이 당뇨병, 대사증후군, 근육량 감소 등 노화 관련 대사 이상과 연관됨을 밝혀내며 생체리듬의 대사 조절 기능을 입증했습니다. 또한, 체성지표(WWI), 페투인-A(fetuin-A), 멜라토닌 등 생체내 대사 조절 인자들이 대사질환과 노화에 미치는 영향을 분자생물학적 기전과 함께 연구하고 있습니다.
