타카쿠라 노부유키 교수의 연구실은 종양 미세환경, 특히 종양 관련 섬유아세포(CAFs)와 혈관 내피세포의 기능적 역할에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 암 성장과 간선세포 유지에 기여하는 CD44 및 PDGFR-alpha 발현 세포의 기능을 규명하며, 혈관 형성과 림프관 기능이 비만 및 대사질환에 미치는 영향을 탐구하고 있습니다. 특히 종양 내 혈관 형성과 림프관 기능 개선을 통한 새로운 암 치료 및 비만 치료 전략 개발을 목표로 하고 있습니다.

Cells constituting the tumor microenvironment are attractive targets for developing new cancer therapies. Here we show that cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) support tumor growth in vivo and maintain the stemness of cancer stem/initiating cells in an in vitro model using an established CAF cell line.
