이 교수의 연구실은 고온에서의 피로·크리프 상호작용을 중심으로 한 수명 평가 및 손상 메커니즘 규명에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 주로 니켈기 초합금(GH4169, Inconel 718)과 스테인리스 스틸을 대상으로 한 피로·크리프 시험, 미세구조 분석(EBSD, TEM), 그리고 유일한 열역학적·열기계적 거동을 기반으로 한 비선형 열역성 모델링을 수행합니다. 특히, 수명 예측 정확도를 높이기 위해 상호작용도 기반 평가, 에너지 소모 기반 손상 기준, 베이지안 정보 기준(BIC)을 활용한 모델 선택 기법을 도입하여 고신뢰성·장수명 설계를 위한 기초 기술을 개발하고 있습니다.
