Sang Hui Chu 교수의 연구실은 대사증후군, 비만 및 만성 염증 상태와 관련된 생체마커와 대사질환의 예방 및 간호관리를 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 화학레틴, 면역염증마커, 식이요법(예: 지중해 식이)과의 연관성, 약물 순응도 및 환자 중심의 삶의 질 향상 전략에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 연구는 임상적 적용과 예방 전략 수립을 목표로 하며, 특히 한국인을 대상으로 한 유효성 검증된 설문도구 개발에도 기여하고 있습니다.

Obesity and metabolic syndrome (MetS) are considered chronic inflammatory states. Chemerin, a novel adipokine, may play an important role in linking MetS and inflammation. An awareness of CTs and the perceptions toward CTs were associated with general public willingness to participate in a CT. Findings from this study can be used in planning outreach and recruitment strategies, and to understand the predictors of CT participation.

When medication adherence was defined as taking warfarin according to medical advice (frequency, dosage, time, and precautions), 56 (27.5%) of 204 respondents were adherent. Our results indicate that high burden from symptoms might be associated with lower QoL in GI cancer survivors, and higher economic burden from cancer treatment was associated with lower QoL. These results suggest that symptom management and support for economic difficulties should be included in the strategies to enhance the QoL of GI cancer survivors.
