Sang-Sun Han 교수의 연구실은 구강 및 두부외과 영역에서의 해부학적 변형과 영상 진단 기술의 응용에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 특히锥형 비임의 단층촬영(CBCT)을 활용한 구강악안면 해부학적 구조(예: 후방모근관, TCC 등)의 정밀 분석과 수술 전 계획 수립에 기여하고 있으며, 임상적 정확도 향상을 위한 영상 품질 최적화 및 시뮬레이션 기반 교육 기법 개발에도 주력하고 있습니다.

A retromolar canal is an anatomical variation in the mandible. There are virtual reality (VR) wayfinding training systems for people with visual impairment, but there is a lack of studies about how training environments can affect spatial information acquisition of people with visual impairment. Using a VR treadmill and a VR tracker, we studied how walk-in-place and actual walking can affect the acquisition of spatial information with regard to paths and obstacles. Miniscrew-root distance increased significantly with the increased insertion angle, and the amount of increase was affected by the miniscrew placement site and vertical facial type. Precise knowledge of the TCC is clinically important for suitable local anaesthetic nerve block and the planning of surgical procedures that involve the mandibular ramus. Three-dimensional images of CBCT data are particularly effective for confirming the presence of this variation.
