An enhanced understanding of elbow cartilage geometry will provide additional insights into elbow procedures in elderly individuals, such as hemiarthroplasties, in which anatomical contours could help to restore normal joint function and improve postoperative outcomes.
The partial physeal arrest of the distal radius could result in progressive deformities and functional problems of the wrist. Despite being the most preferred surgical intervention, physeal bar resection (Langenskiöld procedure) is technically demanding. This manuscript aims to illustrate the technical tricks and present an illustrative case of premature physeal arrest of the distal radius managed with a novel method for the Langenskiöld procedure, involving complete removal of the bar using a p
Using 3D modelling software, nonunions were found to exhibit bone density increases in both the distal and proximal fragments in CTs performed between four to 18 weeks after fracture during the course of treatment. 2D bone density measurements using standard CT scans correlate well with 3D models. In patients with scaphoid fractures, CT bone density measurements may be useful in predicting the likelihood of nonunion. Cite this article: Bone Joint J 2020;102-B(9):1200-1209.
This study demonstrated that electrospun nanofiber MeCbl sheets promoted nerve regeneration and functional recovery, indicating that this treatment strategy may be viable for human peripheral nerve injuries.

This case raises the possibil- ity of treating chronic tibial osteomyelitis caused by mixed infection with Nocardia spp and B. fragilis by applying postoperative VAC ther- apy directly to the medullary cavity and covering the residual wound with a gastrocnemius myocutaneous flap.

Evaluating complicated stress across the elbow under joint motion remains difficult. Here, we aimed to evaluate the distribution of the subchondral bone density in the normal elbow bones and further characterize their spatial relationships during elbow motion to estimate the loading stress across the articular surface using three-dimensional computed tomography bone models. The normal elbow joint exhibited a consistent distribution pattern of subchondral bone density. High-density regions were d
The treatment of cubitus varus deformity should be determined because a residual deformity >20° of varus and 25° of extension could develop risk of complications over time.
