이 교수의 연구실은 국민보건과 공중보건의 핵심 문제인 질병 부담을 정량적으로 분석하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 한국의 질병 부담을 DALYs(장애조정생명연수) 기반으로 평가하고, 질병 분포와 그 영향을 정책적 의사결정에 활용할 수 있는 근거를 제공합니다. 연구는 전반적인 질병 패턴 분석과 함께, 암, 심혈관질환, 소화기질환 등 주요 질병군의 영향을 깊이 있게 분석합니다.

This paper provides an overview of the Korean Burden of Disease (KBoD) study, which was the first such study to assess the national burden of disease using disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) in an advanced Asian country.
