Shin Kaneko 교수의 연구실은 만성 면역질환과 암 치료를 위한 유전자 수정 및 줄기세포 기반 면역세포 치료를 핵심으로 삼고 있습니다. 특히 유도만능줄기세포(iPSC)에서 유래한 T세포, 자연살해세포, iNKT세포 등의 '온디시디드(off-the-shelf)' 면역세포를 개발하여 암 치료의 정밀성과 안정성을 높이고자 합니다. 또한 이들 세포의 장기적 기능 유지와 GVHD(기부자 대 숙주 반응)를 동시에 조절할 수 있는 유전자 조작 기술도 함께 개발하고 있습니다.
