Shungo Hikoso 교수의 연구실은 심장질환, 특히 심부전의 발달 기전을 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 주로 NF-kappaB 및 STAT6와 같은 전사 인자들이 심장세포 사멸과 심장 기능 저하에 미치는 영향을 동물 모델을 활용해 연구하고 있으며, 압력 과부하 상태에서의 세포 신호전달 경로의 역할을 생체 내에서 규명하고자 합니다. 특히 심장세포의 생존과 사멸을 조절하는 분자 기전에 대한 기초 연구를 중심으로 심장질환의 새로운 치료 타겟을 모색하고 있습니다.

Cardiomyocyte death plays an important role in the pathogenesis of heart failure.
