Simon S. Woo 교수의 연구실은 데이터 전송의 신뢰성과 효율성을 극대화하는 체계적 기반 기술을 연구합니다. 특히 우주 통신과 같은 임무 핵심 데이터 전송 환경에서 고신뢰성 전송을 위한 Luby 전환(LT) 코드 기반의 혁신적 인코딩 기법을 개발하고 있습니다. 고우중요도를 가진 데이터를 신속하게 복원할 수 있도록 전용도 분포를 설계하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 실시간 및 임베디드 환경에서도 적용 가능한 효율적인 암호화 기반 전송 기술을 지속적으로 발전시키고 있습니다.

It is common in data transmissions that some information is more important than others. This is especially true in space communications where mission critical information or science data are high priority.
