황송천 교수의 연구실은 주로 절강어류, 조개류 등 연체동물과 어류를 대상으로 소형 비코딩 RNA(small non-coding RNAs)의 기능과 발현 조절 메커니즘을 연구합니다. 특히 piRNA와 miRNA의 생물학적 기능, 특히 유전자 발현 조절, 전위유전자 억제, 생체광물화 과정과의 연관성에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 고처리량 시퀀싱과 유전자 발현 분석을 기반으로 한 전사체 연구를 통해 생물의 발달, 면역 반응, 환경 적응 메커니즘을 규명하고자 합니다.
