In this study, the effects of NaOH and precursor concentration on the particle size and magnetic properties of FeCo nanoparticles are investigated. Results suggest that an optimized ratio of NaOH molar concentration [OH] to precursor molar concentration [M] is required to obtain a small particle size, high saturation magnetization, and low coercivity. When the [OH]/[M] ratio was greater than 40, the FeCo nanoparticles aggregated, whereas when the [OH]/[M] ratio was less than 20, FeCo + CoFe2O4 n
The development of cost-effective and high-performance oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts is a significant challenge. This study presents the synthesis of binder-free NiFe@NiFe layered double hydroxide (NNF) via one-pot electrodeposition on carbon paper and Ni foam at high current densities. The presence of Ni sulfate residues on the prepared NNF is also investigated. The findings indicate that Ni sulfate significantly improves OER performance and durability. The sulfate content can be co
Recently, transition-metal dichalcogenides such as MoS2 have been considered for application in hydrogen evolution catalysis. However, its use in the form of a single MoS2 material is limited owing to its low charge-transfer rate. In this study, a MoS2–Pd–Pt catalyst was fabricated on carbon paper using a simple two-step synthesis method. MoS2 and MoS2–Pd were synthesized via a simple hydrothermal method, and a small amount of Pt was electrodeposited on the prepared sample using a three-electrod
Studies of through-silicon vias (TSVs) have become important owing to the increasing demand for 3D packaging. To obtain high-performance devices, it is important to fill the holes inside TSVs without voids. In this study, poly(ethylene glycol), bis-(3-sodiumsulfopropyl disulfide), and Janus Green B are used as a suppressor, accelerator, and leveler, respectively, to achieve void-free filling of a TSV. The optimum conditions for the additives were studied, and electrochemical analysis was perform
The development of inexpensive and well-activated water-splitting catalysts is required to reduce the use of conventional fossil fuels. In this study, a trimetallic Fe-Co-Ni catalyst was fabricated using a simple ion electrodeposition method. The metal deposition was performed using cyclic voltammetry, which was more efficient than constant-voltage deposition and significantly increased the stability of the catalyst. The synthesized material presented the morphology of a nanoflower in which the
