Sung Mok Kim 교수의 연구실은 의료 영상 기술과 첨단 메커니즘 설계 분야에서 두각을 나타내고 있습니다. 특히 저선량 및 비동기식 CT를 활용한 심장관 동맥 석회화 검출, 스트레스 유도 복합단층촬영(CTP)을 통한 Myocardial Ischemia 진단 기술 개발 등 심장 질환 조기 진단을 위한 영상진단 기술을 연구하고 있습니다. 또한, 심장의 비정상적 지방축적 현상이 무증상 환자에게서 관찰되나 임상적 이상 소견이 없음을 규명하며 진단 기준의 정교화에 기여하고 있습니다. 더불어 4-자유도 평행기구의 비대칭 기구 설계를 통해 기계적 고립점 문제를 최소화하는 기계적 구조 최적화 기술도 함께 개발하고 있습니다.

Using a low radiation dose and nongated MDCT, we can detect coronary artery calcium and obtain results comparable to those obtained with dedicated calcium-scoring CT that uses a higher dose and ECG gating.

This paper introduces a novel parallel mechanism having Schönflies motion. The mechanism consists of only two RRPaR-type limbs. After a short description of its structure, its position analysis is conducted and its screw-based kinematic model is derived.
