이 교수의 연구실은 신호전달 분자인 단백질 티로신 키나제의 기질 특이성과 그 조절 메커니즘을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 C-terminal Src 키나제(Csk)가 Src 계열 키나제를 어떻게 정밀하게 인식하고 인산화하는지에 대한 도킹 부위 및 상호작용 메커니즘을 규명하고 있으며, 이는 세포 신호전달의 정밀성과 정상 기능 유지에 핵심적입니다. 또한 청소년 비만 및 제2형 당뇨병 환자를 대상으로 한 운동 치료의 신경영양소 및 염증 반응에 대한 영향을 다루며, 임상적 적용 가능성을 모색하고 있습니다.
