Sunmi Lee 교수의 연구실은 전염병 역학과 기후 변화가 영향을 미치는 감염병의 전파 메커니즘을 수리모델링을 통해 분석하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 주로 MERS, dengue 열병 등 감염병의 전파를 기후 변화, 인구 이동, 초과 전파자 현상 등 다양한 요소와 연계하여 기반 연구를 수행하며, 특히 에이전트기반 모델링과 두 지역 모델을 활용한 전파 동역학 분석에 강점을 지닙니다. 또한, 공공보건 정책 수립에 기여할 수 있는 실용적인 모델링 전략 개발에도 기여하고 있습니다.

It turned out to be the intensive isolation and quarantine interventions that were the most critical factors that prevented the spread of the MERS outbreak. The results are expected to be useful to devise more efficient intervention strategies in the future.
