이 교수의 연구실은 간질환, 특히 간세포암과 급성 간부전, 간섬유화의 병태생리학적 기전과 치료 전략을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 간세포암의 원인 변화와 비바이러스성 간질환의 증가 추세에 대응하여, 대사증후군 연관 간질환 및 간기능 평가 지표 개발에도 주력하고 있습니다. 특히 신경다초성 줄기세포 유래 배양액이 간손상을 회복시키는 메커니즘을 규명하며, 새로운 생체모델 기반의 치료 전략 개발에 기여하고 있습니다.
