Takehiro Torisu 교수의 연구실은 대사질환, 특히 인슐린 저항성과 만성 염증이 연관된 당뇨병의 분자 기전을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 간과 지방세포에서 SOCS3 단백질의 기능을 유전자 조작을 통해 규명하며, 염증 반응이 대사 균형에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 있습니다. 또한 위암 관련 질환, 특히 헬리코박터 파일로리 음성 MALT 림프종과 위점막 미생물총의 역할에 대해서도 메타게놈 분석을 통해 기전 규명에 힘쓰고 있습니다. 최근에는 소장에서의 내 endoscopy 영상 분석을 위한 AI 기반 객체 인식 기술 개발에도 기여하고 있습니다.

Inflammation associates with insulin resistance, which dysregulates nutrient homeostasis and leads to diabetes.
