Tsubasa Watanabe 교수의 연구실은 방사선 옹호 치료(BNCT) 및 암 치료 신약 개발을 핵심으로 하는 분야에서 활동하고 있습니다. 특히 BPA를 활용한 BNCT의 약리학적 동역학과 LAT1 수송체의 발현이 암세포 내 항산화제 축적에 미치는 영향을 연구하며, 암세포의 대사 특성과 표적 치료의 기전을 규명하고자 합니다. 또한, 면역세포 침윤 및 면역관문 차단제와의 조합 치료 반응성에 대한 기초 연구를 통해 고형암의 비침습적 치료 전략을 모색하고 있습니다.

Syntheses of both natural (+)- and unnatural (-)-irciniastatin A (aka psymberin) as well as a C1-C2 alkyne analogue of (+)-irciniastatin A have been achieved.
