이 교수의 연구실은 주로 호르몬 대사와 암의 발생 및 치료 저항성 간의 상관관계를 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 난소기 후 유방암과 비소세포성 폐암 등에서 종양 내에서 생성되는 에스트로겐의 역할과 그 생합성에 관여하는 효소들(예: 아로마타제, 스테로이드 황산화효소, EST)의 조직 내 분포 및 기능을 분석하고 있습니다. 또한, 약물 대사 및 저항성과 연관된 SXR/hPXR 수용체의 발현과 기능도 함께 연구하여 암 치료의 새로운 타겟을 모색하고 있습니다.
