Yong Jeong 교수의 연구실은 신경영상 기반의 뇌 기능 연결성과 신경퇴행성 질환의 대사적 특징을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 파킨슨병, 알츠하이머병, 후두엽변성증(FTD) 등 신경퇴행성 질환에서의 뇌 대사 이상과 소뇌 및 피각 구조의 기능적 연결성 변화를 분석하며, 개인 맞춤형 뇌 영역 정의를 통한 정밀한 기능적 뇌망 분석 기법을 개발하고 있습니다. 또한 혈류 저하와 혈관성 손상이 관련된 소뇌성 혈관성 치매 모델링을 위한 동물 모델 개발도 함께 진행하고 있습니다.

Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) often coexists with motor neuron disease (MND). To characterize glucose hypometabolism in patients with FTD with MND (FTD/MND), the authors compared the glucose metabolism of 8 patients with FTD/MND with that of 29 patients with FTD.
