이 교수의 연구실은 대기 중 무기성 분진과 기체- aerosol 평형을 고려한 정밀한 열역학 모델링을 핵심으로 하며, 특히 SCAPE 모델을 기반으로 대기 중 이온 종의 상평형과 활성도 계수를 정량적으로 분석합니다. 주요 연구는 대기질소오염물질의 형성 기작, 특히 암모니아, 황산염, 질산염 등 주요 대기 중 이온의 기체- aerosol 분배와 수분 활성도에 대한 이해를 심화하는 데 초점이 맞춰져 있습니다. 또한, 도시 대기 오염 정책의 효과성 평가와 함께 PM2.5 내 유해 유기질소 화합물(예: 니트로아민)의 농도 및 기여도 분석을 통해 실질적 환경 정책 수립에 기여하고 있습니다.
