이켄카 교수의 연구실은 환경 오염 물질, 특히 중금속과 농약류의 생태독성 및 인간 건강 영향을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 주로 수질·토양·식품에 오염된 중금속(크롬, 수은 등)과 네오니코티노이드 농약의 분포, 농도, 노출 수준을 분석하며, 이를 바탕으로 생태계 및 인체에 미치는 급성 및 만성 영향을 평가하고 있습니다. 특히 어린이 및 수생 생물에 대한 노출 위험을 중심으로 실생활 환경에서의 영향을 실증적으로 분석하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다.

We estimated acute toxicity of benzo[a]pyrene (B[a]P) using two cladoceran species, Ceriodaphnia reticulata and Daphnia magna, and also analyzed its impact on zooplankton community throughout an exposure experiment using small-scale mesocosms.
