이 교수의 연구실은 체질적 통증 완화와 신경조절 기전을 중심으로 한 체계적이고 과학적인 통합의학 연구를 수행합니다. 특히 통증 완화에 기여하는 침술의 신경생리학적 메커니즘, '데기' 감각의 임상적 의미, 침술 치료의 심리적 요인(예: 침에 대한 두려움) 평가 등에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, fMRI와 혈류 측정 기법을 활용한 신체 자기인식 및 치료 효과의 생리학적 기반을 탐구하고 있습니다. 또한 진료 현장에서의 실용적 적용을 고려한 효과적인 자침점 선정 패턴 분석도 진행 중입니다.
