A2E와 같은 색소가 유발하는 세포 손상 메커니즘과 식물 유래 안토시아닌, 라이그난 등 천연물 성분의 보호 작용을 분석하며, 특히 망막 pigment 상피 세포와 신경세포에서의 신경보호 효과를 연구하고 있습니다. 고해상도 분석 기술(DART-MS, HPLC, NMR, MS/MS)을 활용한 천연물의 화학적 프로파일링과 생리활성 평가가 연구의 핵심입니다.
