이 교수의 연구실은 에너지 저장 소재 및 생체의료 센서 분야에서 핵심적인 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 리튬이온 이차전지의 실리콘 음극재를 위한 고성능 수용성 바인더 개발과 초전기능소자에 응용되는 MnO₂/그래핀 복합재료의 전기화학적 특성 최적화에 주력하고 있으며, 알츠하이머병의 생체표지물질인 아밀로이드-β 올리고머를 정밀하게 진단할 수 있는 나노구조 센서 기술도 개발하고 있습니다. 특히 고분자 설계, 나노복합재료, 전기화학적 분석 기법을 융합한 기초 및 응용 연구를 지속적으로 전개하고 있습니다.

Polymeric binder is extremely important for Si-based anode in lithium-ion batteries due to large volume variation during charging/discharging process. Here, natural rubber-incorporated chitosan networks were designed as a binder material to obtain both adhesion and elasticity. In this work, the ferrocene-encapsulated Zn zeolitic imidazole framework (ZIF-8) was prepared by the self-assembly of Zn ions and 2-methylimidazole and used for the dual detection of amyloid-beta oligomers (AβO), which is the main neuropathological hallmark of Alzheimer's disease. MnO2/graphene composites were prepared for the electrode material of supercapacitors. MnO2 was synthesized on a gold plate by the electrodeposition method.
