이 교수의 연구실은 면역계의 핵심 세포인 매크로포지트의 염증 반응 메커니즘을 중심으로, 특히 TLR4와 인플라스모어를 통한 염증 신호 전달 경로와 그 조절 기전을 연구하고 있습니다. 특히 스플렌 티로신 키나제(Syk)와 엽산 수용체(Folate Receptor)의 역할을 통해 만성 염증성 질환과 암의 발병 기전을 규명하고자 하며, 천연물 소재인 인삼의 항염증 및 천연물 유도체의 약리적 기전에 대해서도 연구를 확장하고 있습니다.
