Yuki Enoki 교수의 연구실은 만성 신장질환(CKD)과 관련된 근육 위축(사크레노피아)의 분자 기전을 규명하고 있으며, 특히 유독성 대사물질인 인도올 황산염(IS)이 미토콘드리아 기능 저하와 산화 스트레스를 유도하여 근육 손상을 유발하는 메커니즘을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 또한, apelin-Apj 경로와 같은 내재적 보호 시스템의 기능 저하가 근육 위축에 기여하는지를 밝혀내고, 이에 대한 표적 치료 전략 개발에도 주력하고 있습니다. 최근에는 항생제의 항산화 작용과 면역 조절 기능을 활용한 폐 감염 치료 전략에 대해서도 연구를 확장하고 있습니다.
