Yuki Furuse 교수의 연구실은 병원성 바이러스의 유전적 변이, 전파 역학 및 진화를 중심으로 한 감염병 역학을 연구합니다. 특히 코로나19, 수두바이러스, 인플루엔자 바이러스 등 주요 인수성 병원체의 유전자 기반 전파 패턴과 숙주 적응 메커니즘을 분석하며, 바이러스의 진화 속도와 공통 조상의 분기 시기를 규명하는 데에도 전문성을 기르고 있습니다. 또한 바이러스에 의해 조절되는 숙주 면역 반응과 microRNA의 역할에 대한 분자 수준의 연구도 진행하고 있습니다.

We analyzed 3,184 cases of coronavirus disease in Japan and identified 61 case-clusters in healthcare and other care facilities, restaurants and bars, workplaces, and music events. We also identified 22 probable primary case-patients for the clusters; most were 20-39 years of age and presymptomatic or asymptomatic at virus transmission.
Abstract Measles, caused by measles virus (MeV), is a common infection in children. MeV is a member of the genus Morbillivirus and is most closely related to rinderpest virus (RPV), which is a pathogen of cattle. MeV is thought to have evolved in an environment where cattle and humans lived in close proximity. The M gene of influenza A virus has evolved independently, under different selective pressure on M1 and M2 among different hosts.
