Aesun Shin 교수의 연구실은 위장암 및 대장암의 환경적·유전적 위험요인을 중심으로 한 인구기반 코hort 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 헬리코박터 파일로리 감염, 식이요법, 유전자 다형성 등이 위암과 대장암 발생에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 한국 및 중국 인구를 대상으로 한 장기적 추적 연구를 통해 암의 예방 전략을 모색하고 있습니다.
