이 교수의 연구실은 당뇨병 환자의 정밀한 대사 관리와 합병증 예방을 목표로 하며, 특히 연속 혈액 포도당 모니터링(CGM) 기반의 실시간 혈당 관리 전략과 HbA1c 이외의 새로운 생체지표 개발에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 다양한 환자군(유형1·2형 당뇨, 임신성 당뇨, 비알코올성 간지방증)을 대상으로 혈당 변동성, 장기적 대사 상태, 간질환 간의 연관성에 대한 기초 및 임상 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히, HbA1c의 한계를 보완할 수 있는 새로운 지표와 치료 반응 예측 모델 개발에 기여하고 있습니다.
