As the attention to environmental sustainability heightens, marketers increasingly claim that their products help preserve the environment. Without proper understanding of how emerging target markets, such as young Millennials, are triggered to purchase green claims, their efforts may be futile. Accordingly, the current study examined the interrelationships among major environmental antecedents, such as environmental knowledge (EK), perceived consumer effectiveness (PCE), and environmental conce
Density evolution is used to analyse the scaling of soft information in the iterative decoding of low density parity check codes. Based on the min-sum algorithm and Gaussian approximation, the thresholds are evaluated with various scaling factors. The optimal scaling factor is found by density evolution and the expected scaling gain matches well with the achievable scaling gain from simulation results.
As compared with concomitant therapy, hybrid therapy offered similar efficacy, better compliance, and fewer adverse events. Hybrid therapy could be a reasonable first-line treatment option for H. pylori in areas with high antibiotics resistance.
Despite the small number in this study, partially covered SEMSs showed a favorable and safe outcome in the treatment of naïve benign pyloric obstruction and in salvage treatment after balloon dilatation failure.
Although, the prevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection in Korea has declined owing to the eradication therapy, recent seropreva-lence of H. pylori infection is still reported to be as high as 54.4%. Until now, "standard regimen" for eradication of H. pylori has been conventional triple therapy consisting of proton pump inhibitor, amoxicillin, and clarithromycin. However, with the increase in antibiotic resistance, especially against clarithromycin, the eradication rate of conventional triple
Density evolution has recently been used to analyze iterative decoding and explain many characteristics of iterative decoding including convergence of performance and preferred structures for the constituent codes. The scaling of extrinsic information (messages) has been heuristically used to enhance the performance in the iterative decoding literature, particularly based on the min-sum message passing algorithm. In this paper, it is demonstrated that density evolution can be used to obtain the
Standard triple therapy, consisting of a proton pump inhibitor, plus amoxicillin and clarithromycin, has been the most commonly used first-line treatment regimen for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication for many years worldwide. However, as a result of increased resistance to antibiotics, H. pylori eradication rates with use of standard triple therapy have been declining and recently reached < 80% in many countries. Several new strategies to enhance the eradication rate of H. pylori have
EGCG increased the cell count and cell viability after UV irradiation of cultured human lens epithelial cells, indicating that EGCG can protect lens epithelium against UV damage.
Zhengchangsheng® is not inferior to Bioflor® in therapeutic efficacy and is a safe and useful therapeutic agent for the treatment of diarrhea.
The risk of abnormal metabolic outcomes was significant in young men in the working population. Further studies are required to understand the association of specific working conditions (working hours or shift work) with breakfast intake status and the risk of metabolic diseases.
