우시바 교수의 연구실은 뇌-컴퓨터 인터페이스(BCI) 기반 신경재활 기술을 핵심으로 하며, 뇌전도측정(EEG)을 활용해 뇌의 운동 관련 활동을 실시간으로 모니터링하고 피드백을 제공함으로써 뇌졸중 환자의 신경기능 회복을 연구하고 있습니다. 특히 시각적 피드백과 신체 감각 피드백의 효과를 비교 분석하여, 환자 맞춤형 재활 전략의 최적화를 도모하고 있습니다. 또한, 뇌의 기저 상태에서의 신경 활동 패tern과 운동조절 관련 뇌파(특히 SMR)의 상관관계를 fMRI와 결합해 분석함으로써, 뇌 기능의 기초 메커니즘을 규명하고자 합니다.
