Takafumi Kubota 교수의 연구실은 신경과학 분야에서 감염성 질환과 백신 접종 후 발생할 수 있는 신경합병증에 중점을 두고 있으며, 특히 코로나19 감염 및 mRNA 백신 투여 후 나타나는 뇌신경병증, 신경염, 급성염증성해면비종말신경병증 등 신경계 이상 반응을 중심으로 기전과 임상 양상에 대한 체계적 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 다양한 신경학적 증상의 기전 규명을 위해 면역학적, 영상의학적, 생화학적 접근을 융합한 다학제적 연구를 전개하고 있습니다. 특히, 항간질리포다이오스간지드 항체와 같은 생체표지자 분석을 통해 조기 진단 및 메커니즘 규명에 기여하고 있습니다.
