후리이치 타케시 교수의 연구실은 보노보와 침팬지의 사회적 행동, 서식지 이용, 생태적 차이를 중심으로 한 고등영장류의 행동 생태학을 연구합니다. 특히 성별 간 행동 양식의 이질성, 사회적 유대 관계, 도구 사용 행동, 수면 행동 및 서식지 선택에 대한 장기적 현장 연구를 통해 영장류의 사회조직 형성 메커니즘을 탐구하고 있습니다. 연구는 콩고민주공화국의 워마 지역을 중심으로 진행되며, 분자 유전학적 분석과도 결합된 종합적 접근이 특징입니다.

We examined the location of nest groups, spatial distribution of nests within a nest group, and attributes of individual nests of wild bonobos at Wamba, Democratic Republic of Congo. We also examined the seasonal factors influencing nesting behavior and compared the nest group size with the 1 hr party size during daytime. We defined a nest group to be a cluster of nests that were built in the same evening and found within 30 m from the other nearest nest. Examination of the largest gap within a
