Yuqi Zhou 교수의 연구실은 의료영상 기반의 혈소판 응집 및 혈관내 혈전 형성 메커니즘을 고해상도 이미징과 인공지능 기술을 융합해 연구합니다. 특히 마이크로플루이딕 기반 이미징 플로우 사이토미터를 활용해 COVID-19 환자에서의 미세혈관 혈전을 정밀 분석하고, 딥러닝 기반 분류 모델을 통해 질병 간 구분 정확도를 높이는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 또한 약물 나노결정체의 약물전달 메커니즘과 고등교육기관의 연구 효율 평가 모델 개발 등 다학제적 연구를 전개하고 있습니다.

Microvascular thrombosis is a typical symptom of COVID-19 and shows similarities to thrombosis. Using a microfluidic imaging flow cytometer, we measured the blood of 181 COVID-19 samples and 101 non-COVID-19 thrombosis samples, resulting in a total of 6.3 million bright-field images. In very old population diagnosed with pulmonary thromboembolism, worse laboratory results, atypical symptoms and physical signs were common. Mortality was very high and comorbid conditions were their features compared to younger patients. PaO2 < 60 mmHg, eGFR < 60 mL/min/1.73m2 and malignancy were positive mortality predictors for all-cause death in very old patients with pulmonary thromboembolism while anticoagulation as first therapy was negative mortality predictors.
