Ai Kuzumi教授の研究室は、線維化や自己免疫反応に関与するサイトコイニンや自己抗体の機能解明を柱として、全身性エリテマトーデスや強皮症(SSc)を代表とする自己免疫疾患の病態メカニズムを分子レベルで解明しています。特にIL-31やIL-34といったサイトコイニンの役割、ならびに自己抗体の高感度スクリーニング技術の開発に注力しており、臨床応用に結びつく新規バイオマーカーや治療標的の同定を目指しています。
