アーナ・マリア・ルイス教授の研究室は、自然災害が引き金となって発生する技術的危機(ナテック)に注目し、特に地震や洪水、ハリケーンなどの自然現象が工業施設の有害物質漏れを引き起こすメカニズムを解明しています。主な研究方向性は、ナテック事故のリスク評価、予防策の構築、および緊急時における対応策の最適化です。特に、欧州や北米の実例をもとに、災害発生後のインフラ損傷や経済的影響、人的・環境的被害の分析を進めています。
