当研究室は、肝臓や膵臓をはじめとする臓器の発生・再生機構を解明するため、希少な幹細胞をFlow Cytometryやクローン培養を用いてProspectiveな分離・同定を進めています。特に、肝幹細胞や膵幹細胞の表面マーカーの同定と、その分化・自己複製の制御メカニズムを成長因子や extracellular matrix の観点から解析しています。また、Embryonic Stem Cellsにおける多能性維持機構に関しても、転写因子とシグナル伝達のクロストークを解明しています。
