横川大輔教授の研究室では、分子間相互作用と溶液中での電子状態の相互作用を高精度に記述する理論的枠組みを開発・応用しています。特に、RISM-SCF法を基盤とし、空間的電子密度分布を組み込んだRISM-SCF-SEDD手法により、溶液中における分子の構造・性質の予測を高精度で行っています。この手法は、埋め込まれた原子や極性環境下でも安定に計算可能であり、有機半導体や生体分子の溶液中反応機構の解明に応用されています。
