후지노리 누시무라 교수의 연구실은 치주염을 비롯한 만성 염증성 질환과 대사질환 간의 상관관계를 중심으로, 면역조절 및 조직재생을 위한 혈액세포 유래 소포체(엑소좀)의 기능과 조절 메커니즘을 연구하고 있습니다. 특히 치유성 면역반응 유도를 위한 간엽줄기세포에서 유래한 엑소좀의 전처리 전략과 TNF-α, IGF, PDGF 등의 생장인자에 의한 세포 이동성 조절 메커니즘을 규명하고 있습니다. 이는 치주질환의 전신적 영향과 당뇨, 비만과 같은 대사질환의 연관성을 해소하는 데 기여할 수 있는 기초 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.
