Professor Gi Jeong Cheon's research lab specializes in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, with a focus on improving cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment personalization. The lab investigates the clinical utility of advanced imaging techniques such as 18F-FDG PET/CT and MRI to predict treatment response in sarcomas and gynecological cancers. A key research direction involves using metabolic and anatomical imaging parameters—particularly SUVmax and tumor volume changes—to identify high-risk patients and guide individualized therapy.
