モトムラ教授の研究室では、大腿骨頭壊死(ONFH)の発症メカニズムと治療戦略の解明を目的として、実験的・臨床的・計算的アプローチを統合した研究を推進しています。特に、ステロイド誘因性ONの予防に効果を示す薬剤の併用や、壊死巣周囲の骨の力学的変化、ならびに患者個別に再構築した有限要素モデルを用いた応力分布解析が特徴です。微小CTを用いた組織レベルの評価と画像診断(MRI・CT)の統合的解析により、早期段階の変化を高精度に捉える研究が進められています。
