Hiroaki Ogata教授の研究室は、ユビキタスコンピューティングを活用した学習環境の構築を主眼としています。特に言語学習を支援するcontext-awareなシステムや、RFID技術を活用したオーバーラップ型学習環境の開発が特徴です。学習者が日常の生活の中で自然に学びを深められるように、実世界と仮想空間をつなぐ教育的インタラクションの設計に注力しています。また、学習行動のログデータを活用した教育ビッグデータの分析や、協働学習を促進する知識可視化技術の開発も進めています。
