Hironori Katoh教授の研究室は、細胞骨格のダイナミクスと細胞形態制御を担うRhoファミリー小小GTPアーゼのシグナル伝達機構に焦点を当てています。特に、RhoA、Rac、Cdc42、RhoGといったGTPアーゼが神経細胞のニューライト形成や細胞移動に果たす役割を分子細胞生物学的手法を用いて解明しています。また、がん細胞におけるシグナル伝達異常と代謝再編の関連や、神経成長因子応答における細胞形態変化の制御機構についても研究を展開しています。
