大木博継教授の研究室では、音響的・電磁的特性を用いた非破壊的材料評価技術の開発を柱としています。主にレゾナントウルトラサウンド分光法(RUS)を応用し、導電性・半導体性・誘電性結晶材料の全独立な弾性定数、内部摩擦、およびピエゾ効果係数を高精度に同時に測定する技術を開発しています。特にレーザー・ドップラー干渉計を用いた振動モードの直接観測により、モード識別という長年の難関を克服し、高精度な材料定数の決定を実現しています。

This paper presents a contactless technique to measure shear bulk wave resonance frequencies of an isolated quartz crystal in a flow cell. The line antenna placed outside the cell generates and detects the resonance frequencies in a wireless-electrodeless manner.
