Professor Hwang Gyun Jeon's research lab specializes in urological oncology and minimally invasive surgical techniques, with a strong focus on renal cell carcinoma and donor nephrology. The lab investigates preoperative predictors of kidney function, including kidney volume and body composition, to improve surgical outcomes in nephrectomy and live donor transplantation. Our homemade single port device is cost-effective, provides adequate range of motion and is more flexible in port placement for laparoendoscopic single site surgery than the current multichannel port.

In this series, PNI was associated with established parameters of biologically aggressive disease, and was an important prognostic factor for biochemical failure-free survival in patients undergoing radical prostatectomy. This finding supports routine evaluation of the PNI status in radical prostatectomy specimens and suggests that patients with PNI should be more closely followed after surgery.
RTV was correlated with PTV and pathologic grade. RTV was larger than the PTV for a tumor size 7 cm or less or in clear cell RCC. RTV may be useful to measure tumor burden preoperatively.
