Professor Hyung-Min Kwon's research lab focuses on translational biomedical research with a strong emphasis on regenerative medicine, metabolic syndrome, and cerebrovascular health. The lab investigates cell-free therapeutic strategies using adipose-derived exosomes for skin regeneration and aesthetic applications, while also exploring the role of metabolic markers—such as homocysteine, insulin resistance (TyG index), and glycaemic load—in neurological and dermatological conditions. Key research directions include the clinical application of stem cell-derived exosomes for acne scar treatment and the identification of metabolic risk factors for silent brain infarcts and cerebral small vessel disease in otherwise healthy individuals.
