Professor Jeongseob Kim's research lab focuses on urban sustainability, with a primary emphasis on social equity, housing dynamics, and climate resilience in urban environments. The lab investigates infill development, housing filtering, and social sustainability in metropolitan areas, particularly in the context of economic inequality, neighborhood change, and climate hazards such as heatwaves and flooding. It also examines emerging urban mobility challenges, including the safety and integration of personal mobility vehicles in urban transportation systems. The lab combines quantitative methods such as multivariate statistical analysis and spatial modeling to inform policy and urban planning.
