Professor Jeong-Won Han's research lab focuses on interdisciplinary health and engineering innovations, spanning nursing education, clinical nursing practice, and advanced materials fabrication. The lab explores the integration of emerging technologies—such as AI chatbots, virtual reality, and UV roll-to-roll lithography—into healthcare training and patient care to enhance clinical competence, self-efficacy, and learning outcomes. It also investigates psychological and organizational factors influencing nursing professionals’ well-being, including role stress, burnout, and organizational commitment. Additionally, the lab contributes to flexible electronics through scalable fabrication techniques for conductive oxide patterns on large-area substrates.

The findings of our study highlighted the potential of artificial intelligence chatbot programs as an educational assistance tool to promote nursing college students' interest in education and self-directed learning. Moreover, such programs can be effective in enhancing nursing students' skills in non-face-to face-situations caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
To reduce nurses' turnover rate, this study recommends developing plans to improve their organizational commitment because it mediates role stress and turnover intention.
These findings confirmed that the VR stimulation program for nursing students had a positive effect on their self-efficacy, clinical reasoning capacity, and learning satisfaction. Furthermore, it was effective in improving their nursing competence.
It would be more effective to develop interventions to enhance deep acting and work engagement than to attempt to reduce surface acting and work burnout in clinical nursing settings.
A method is proposed to fabricate conductive patterns and tracks on large area flexible substrates using a UV roll imprinting lithography process. A durable metal roll stamp, which is extendable to mass production, was fabricated by using a series of photolithography, electroforming and anti-adhesion coating processes. Indium tin oxide (ITO) conductive patterns and tracks with line widths of 2–20 µm were formed by using the UV roll imprinting process and a subsequent etching process. The geometr
This study is significant as it provides longitudinal evidence of the impact of parenting stress and parental control attitudes on children's problem behaviors. The findings suggest that accurately assessing changes in parenting stress and parental control attitudes and developing intervention programs to reduce them will be effective in reducing problem behaviors in children.
Purpose: This study was done to identify relationships among post-traumatic stress (PTS), job stress and turnover\nintention in emergency department (ED) nurses. Methods: Participants were 250 ED nurses who had worked for\none month or longer in the ED one of three university hospitals or seven general hospitals in Daegu City or Gyeong\nBuk Province in Korea. Structured questionnaires were used to measure PTS, job stress, and turnover intention of\nparticipants. Data were analyzed using descript
Individuals with low self-esteem are vulnerable to depression. Depressed individuals process information related to themselves in a distorted way, thereby negatively affecting their self-esteem. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between depression and self-esteem in postnatal Korean women using longitudinal data and an autoregressive cross-lagged analysis. This study was conducted in postpartum women who had consistently participated in the Panel Study on Korean Children
Results of this study indicate that nurse managers should put increased effort in reducing nurses' organizational cynicism and improving their organizational commitment, two contrary parameters. At the same time managers need to develop plans to establish social capital more efficiently so that nurses have lower turnover intention.
The applicability of the KFCV-19S for identifying the level of fear Korean people experience regarding COVID-19 was verified. This tool is recommended for use in future assessments of Korean populations regarding levels of fear and anxiety regarding COVID-19.
VR simulation program for ECMO nursing developed in this study is a potential educational method that positively affects the learning immersion and learning satisfaction of nursing students.
It is vital for healthcare providers to seek ways to reduce the marital conflicts of parents of children with atopic dermatitis, including further examination of the role of co-parenting, to address children's physical symptoms and promote their health. Our findings inform management and intervention programs for the families of children with atopic dermatitis.
It is necessary to manage parenting stress among married women through various programs and education that increase self-esteem in order to reduce their level of depression.
The purpose of this study is to develop nursing standard guidelines for nurses in a neonatal intensive care unit. The Delphi method was used in this study to elicit expert consensus. Thirteen experts who were nurses and pediatric adolescent specialists working in the neonatal intensive care unit participated in the study. In this study, 178 items were developed based on 5 nursing practice standards and 7 standards of professional practice. An additional 10 items were included based on observatio
This study aimed to classify the latent class of parenting attitude for parents with preschool children and school-age children, identify the pattern of transition in the type of parenting attitude over time, and determine the influencing factors associated with the transition. A total of 1462 households were the subjects of this longitudinal study that used latent profile analysis, latent transition analysis, and logistic regression analysis. The parenting attitude in the preschool year was cla
